Ingram Lawn Completes Landscape Projects

Ingram Lawn & Garden of Ambler and Flourtown, Pa. had a very busy June completing a bunch of small to mid size landscape projects. Several of our customers wanted a variety of their shrubs and ornamental trees updated along with various parts of their landscapes upgraded, freshened and expanded. While we did those landscaping projects we also completed six nice size landscape makeovers. These landscape makeover projects included newly designed landscapes, removing the old landscapes and installing new plants. Landscape makeovers are fun but none are alike and they are never go as planned. You often face obstacles you did not plan on. These include hidden tree stumps, buried wires, pipes, cracked walkways, rotten timbers, hidden rocks and a variety of other challenges. This month almost all the makeovers we did we found a large number of hidden shrub and tree stumps that delayed planting until our tree stump grinder arrived.

When we do landscape designs for existing landscapes we take a variety of photos of the old landscape and use them to determine which plants will stay although often relocated. We also spend a lot of time walking thru wholesale plant nursery’s trying to get a feel of what would work and what is available and native to the area. We select trees, shrubs, perennials and annual flowers each specific to the property. Sounds easy enough but we always try and match the landscape to the style of the house, theme of the landscape, sun or shade of the property, along with a variety of other factors which shape our landscape designs.
