Second Application of Five Step Lawn Application

Our second application of the season for our Five Step Annual Lawn application is coming towards the end of May. At this time of the year when the grass is growing like crazy you must contimue to feed it by lighlty applying a fertilizer. At the same time the broadleaf weeds are growing so we also apply a broadleaf weed control and spot spray to supplement the application. The results always take time. Measure results year to year not week to week or season to season. Correcting a lawn that has not been properly cared for take several years needs time to be corrected. Depending on how bad the lawn is you may consider aeration and over seeding in September. A word of caution. Never seed and apply weed control products within weeks of one another. The pre-emergent and broadleaf weed control normally kill any ungerminated seed. With most lawn applications timing of each application is critical.
